2019 permit charges increase

Following approval, new permit charges will apply from the revised date of Monday 21 October 2019. The new charges are to take account of a 7.1 per cent CPI-related inflationary increase since the last permit charging review in 2017.

The new charges apply to all permits purchased or renewed from Monday 21 October 2019.

2019 expansion of diesel surcharge scheme

Our diesel surcharge scheme has now been rolled out to all zones across the city. The scheme, which applies a 50 per cent surcharge on pre-2015 diesel vehicles paying to park and which has been in operation in F zone since June 2017, is part of the council’s ongoing work to improve air quality in Westminster.

Following an extensive consultation exercise, approval was given in May 2019 to expand our diesel surcharge scheme to all zones across the city from Monday 5 August 2019. The surcharge has been in operation in F zone since June 2017.

A 50 per cent surcharge applies to all pre-2015 diesel vehicles paying to park. The new charges are as follows:

2018 changes to kerbside permission charges (suspensions and dispensations)

​Following approval, our kerbside permission charges have increased from Monday 17 September 2018. General suspension and dispensation charges have increased by 4.3 per cent to take account of inflationary increases since the last charging review in November 2015. Additionally, zone B and G suspensions have converted to the premium charging banding which also applies to zones E and F.

LJUG charges have not been subject to any increases, nor have any admin charges. Skip licence charges have also been unaffected.

The new charges for general suspensions are:
