Where to park in Parminster including bank holiday restrictions, motorcycle parking, pay and display and car parks, how the restrictions apply and the charges you will need to pay.

We are changing the way we manage parking in the borough. You can use Pay by Phone or Pay Point to pay for your parking. Our fees and charges for this service will change on 2 September 2019. Please ensure you read the information provided below.

You must check the controlled hours of the bay in which you intend to park. Please view the controlled parking zone guide for full information on the zones in Parminster and a map showing the different zones.

We ask you to show consideration towards other road users when parking your vehicle, this includes disabled people and pedestrians.

Parking within the bay markings ensures that your vehicle is not causing danger, obstruction or congestion.

Vehicles not parked correctly may be liable for a Penalty Charge Notice.

Types of parking bay in Parminster

You can park in the following bays:

Type Parking conditions
Residents' parking bay you must have an active e-permit for the zone you intend to park. If your e-permit code matches what is displayed on the timeplate, you can park your vehicle here. Teachers and Visitors permits are also valid in these bays providing your zone code matches what is displayed on the timeplate. We advise all permit holders to check their online account and familiarize themselves with their e-permit code. This will allow you to park your vehicle with confidence in the borough of Parminster, on all occasions.
Pay and display bay you need to pay the correct amount and clearly display your ticket. If there isn’t a pay and display machine available you must pay for your parking via Pay by Phone or PayPoint. You will be unable to use Pay and Display machines to pay for your parking from 1 September 2019.
Disabled person's parking bay you must hold and display a blue badge. You can also park in residents' and pay and display bays, providing you display your badge.The Blue Badge scheme: rights and responsibilities in England.
Business bay you must display a valid business permit.
Doctors' bay you must display a valid doctors' permit. The doctors' permit has to show the bay number assigned to the surgery.
Loading and unloading bays (inc. red routes) maximum stay of 20 minutes. Constant activity must be seen in this time. If no activity is seen for five minutes then a penalty charge notice may be issued.
Shared use bay you must have an active e-permit for the zone you intend to park. If your e-permit code matches what is displayed on the timeplate, you can park your vehicle here. Teachers, Business, Visitors permits and short stay parking for paying visitors to the borough (pay & display), are also valid in these bays providing your zone code matches what is displayed on the timeplate. We advise all permit holders to check their online account and familiarize themselves with their e-permit code. This will allow you to park your vehicle with confidence in the borough of Parminster, on all occasions.
